Hey there! I’ve been gone from this blog for more than a year and now I’m back. If you’ve been following me on IG, then you already know the big news – I gave birth to a baby boy on Sept 17th! Life is definitely very different from when I was last year.
I have lots of thoughts and as I had lamented on Twitter with some people a couple of weeks ago, I miss blogging and keeping a record of my thoughts, so I’m going to try to write regularly again.
It’ll be a lot less about running and a lot more about motherhood since I always intended this blog to reflect what’s going on in my life. Currently I’m on maternity leave (a huge blessing because of what’s going on right now with COVID-19) and we’re up in CT to get away from Brooklyn for a while. My mom’s staying with us to help us out with the baby, which has been an incredible gift. I get to focus on taking care of the baby and my mom takes care of all the cooking and cleaning. I’m so fortunate that I get to have my mom with me and that she gets to see her new grandson during this pandemic.
I said it on social but I’ll say it again: Congrats!!! It’s funny how I, too, have felt a need to shift away from writing exclusively about running on here (speaking of which, I need to write something else soon!). This is just what happens with life. It changes, things change, we change. I’m so looking forward to reading more of your writing! I’m so glad your mom is with you too. 🙂
Thanks! When I created this blog, I picked a name that I felt would be flexible and allow me to write about whatever I choose to in my life. I figured A Fast-Paced Life would reflect running and my life in NYC nicely.
Congratulations!
Thank you! I hope all is well with you!!!
