If you’re a big fan of TED talks and would love to go to, but don’t have the big bucks to attend, then the independent spin-off TEDx is for you. These are local TED-like experiences of day-long talks given by various people around a theme.
This Friday TEDxBrooklyn will be taking place at Brooklyn Bowl (9 am – 6 pm). The theme is Community through Experience. Tickets are $100, but there’s a 2 for 1 offer going on. Buy a full-priced ticket, forward your ticket confirmation email and the second attendee’s name to firstname.lastname@example.org, and the second person goes for free ($50 each if you’re splitting costs).
I’d love to go, but unfortunately I can’t make it because of work. I hope I’ll be able to attend next year.
